The prehistoric collections of the National Archaeological Museum are unique. You can see objects from the Cycladic islands, including marble figurines, marble vases in attractive simple forms, pottery and fresco fragments.

The Hall of Mycenean Antiquities has a spectacular collection of gold objects found in the shaft graves of Mycenae as well as other grave goods in bronze, silver and ivory.

The Sculpture Collections include archaic statues, grave stelai decorated in relief, classical bronze statues, pedimental sculptures from temples.

On the upper floor of the museum there is the largest collection from all periods of Greek history.
